De Smukke Bjerge: Gasherbrum Gruppen i Pakistan [The Beautiful Mountains: Gasherbrum Group in Pakistan]

Danish mountaineer Christensen has climbed for more than 30 years, the last 20 of these mostly in the Himalaya – Ama Dablam (1988), Dhaulagiri (1991), Broad Peak (1994), Everest (1996, 2000, 2013), Gasherbrum I (1998), Pandra & Danga (2002), Baruntse (2008), Lhakpa Ri (2009), Mustagh Ata (2010), and Changtse (2013). He has led expeditions for Kipling Travel to some of these peaks and documents his climbs in diaries. Some of these have been converted to books. Here Christensen covers his 1998 Gasherbrum expedition which made the first Danish ascent of Gasherbrum I (Hidden Peak, 8068m), placing three members on the summit, and attempted the unclimbed Gasherbrum VI (6979, 7001m).
