A classic portrait image of legendary mountaineer Kurt Diemberger. This was painted from Hermann Warth's ice-beard photo of Kurt following their first ascent of Shartse (7502m) in 1974. This image was used as the cover photo for Kurt's book 'Spirits of the Air'. This is one of three color prints by Agaath Dottridge. These prints are from her original paintings on acrylic medium.
