Rey was a wealthy Italian climber who made the third ascent of Monte Rosa, and had the Cresta Rey named after him. He wrote the definitive work on the Matterhorn and here covers his climbs in the Dolomites and the Chamonix Aiguilles. Nevison, who has signed his name to this book, was a member of the 1958 expedition to Gasherbrum I. Neate R26.
