The Wind in My Hair

In 1997 Brigitte Muir became the first Australian woman to climb Everest, her third attempt, and thus became the first Australian to climb the Seven Summits. She describes her Seven Summits climbs and each of her attempts on Everest, via both the north and south sides. In 1996 she was a member of Henry Todd’s Himalayan Guides team and was present on the South Col during the storm. She presents her account of the disastrous night. Her story culminates in her successful Everest ascent in 1997.
