Mark Pfetzer tells of his introduction to climbing at an early age and ‘youngest to summit’ records on Pisco, Huascaran, Cotopaxi, Ama Dablam, and Cho Oyu. He has also attempted Everest via both the north and south routes. In 1996 he returned as a member of Henry Todd’s Himalayan Guides team. On the eve of the killer storm he reached the South Col, endured the night of the storm, and then descended the next day. One of 25 books regarding the Everest 1996 tragedy.
